Mission Statement: Through the grace of God and the authority of Jesus Christ, our mission is to be a Spirit led church that is trained to evangelize and disciple others into a loving fellowship that is open to all in the community. Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Southside seeks to be a dynamic part of God’s remnant people by preaching, teaching, and reaching, with the everlasting Gospel and the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14, so that the church sanctified will indeed become the church Glorified.
Vision: For our church to be Christ centered, passionately spiritual, displaying loving relationships and have an intentional desire to see others saved in God’s kingdom.
Who We Are
Established in 1956, Bakersfield Southside SDA Church is a Seventh-day Adventist congregation in the heart of Bakersfield, California. We gather every Saturday — Sabbath School (Bible study) at 9:30 am and Worship at 11 am — at 1330 3rd St, Bakersfield, CA. Come as you are. Welcome home.
What We Believe
Everything we do flows from Scripture. We are grounded in the everlasting Gospel and the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14. We believe in the unique giftedness of every person and the equal value of each individual in the sight of God. Ministry is not just for the pastor — every member is a minister and every member is a disciple.
